This book really dragged for me. I would recommend this one and look forward to others in the series. This is my first book by this author. After narrowly escaping a fire that consumes a Danish museum, Cotton Malone-former U.S. Justice Department agent turned rare-book dealer-learns from his friend, the beguiling adventurer Cassiopeia Vitt, that the blaze was part of a campaign of arson intended to mask a far more diabolical design. He must follow the clues left behind by Alexander the Great to find a cure, but there are so many double and triple agents in the mix, that he cannot trust anyone. While the book was slow at times, I found that I could not put it down. I really enjoy the mix of History and Fiction and Steve Berry is able seamlessly blend the two together. From Copenhagen to central Asia to Venice, this is a helluva journey. I would guess that this is consistent with the way Mr Berry dresses her. As with the previous books, the history was well researched, the story/mystery intriguing and the characters interesting.
